About the Client
One of the largest aircraft parts manufacturer based out of USA.
Business Challenge
Having coding for the manufacturing to be off-shored. Programming on manufacturing needs to be of high quality and 'right' first time. If the final outcome on the machine is wrong, the programs written are of no use and hence client was not ready to pay unless manufacturing was complete.
Value proposition
We took the challenge of getting into this task, but as an initiative and to avoid risk both for customer and ourselves we invested into software like Vericut and started simulating each part before sending it to customer.
Using “Master Tool-list” approach for programming parts on machine-cells.
All the discrepancies & errors identified are well documented as “Lessons Learnt” to eliminate chances of recurrence.
Using 3D models of all machine accessories, fixtures, tombstones, tool holders during simulation in Vericut.
Client Benefits
The video of simulation of manufacturing as per our codes simulated on the actual G&M codes which get into machine.
The customer does not pay for any re-programming efforts in an event where the program has to modified to allow for a part to comply with blue-print tolerances. |
