About the Client

The client is a leading multinational energy company with operations in more than 130 countries. Its subsidiary has set up a hospital in the central African region. This hospital is a full fledged hospital using state of the art and modern technology medical equipment. It provides a comprehensive range of medical and allied health services to its employees.

Business Challenge

The hospital was running on stand alone software applications with no inter department connectivity. There was redundancy of information and Access to information from other departments was not possible with the existing software applications. This led to degeneration of overall efficiency of the hospital staff. The software applications were generic and rigid and thus provided no scope for further customization or enhancements.

How did we help?

We designed and developed a Hospital Management and Information system for the hospital to suit their requirement. The application was developed using Microsoft technologies and runs on IE 6.0 and IIS 5.0 as its web server.

Performance delivered

The application provides online integrated information across the hospital network anytime anywhere. Doctors have access to the patient medical record at the click of a button. It has led to improved patient satisfaction through reduced turnaround time for registration, billing and discharge.

The Management Information System section has been assisting top management in their decision making and strategic planning activity. ICD 10 code has been implemented at the hospital to improve the quality of health data and patient care processes.

Since the solution is totally web based, entire operation of Group hospitals in the region are managed into a single software resulting into real time information availability at various levels, reduced time of information passing, costs involved in software licensing and maintenance, etc.
