Our methodology for managing maintenance projects begins with signing up service level agreements (SLA) with our customers. SLAs can be based on one or more of the following:
- Resolution of various problems based on agreed timelines.
- Reporting based on metrics agreed with the customer
- Support availability as per agreed business hours
- Staff availability
In the Project Initiation phase, the project plan is defined and the SLAs are drawn up.
In the Knowledge Acquisition phase, Ignis team learns the functionality, studies the technical documents and the source code. We then run a pilot with an onsite team that maintains all change requests and handles all errors.
In the Transition Phase, an offshore team is set up, which is steadily ramped up as the process stabilizes. Problems reported are handled either on-site or off-shore depending on their severity level. The reporting and tracking procedures are fine-tuned and procedures are documented appropriately for future reference.
In the steady state phase, the client receives periodic reports on status. The Ignis team monitors and improves performance of the application. As per requirements, plans for re-engineering the application are drawn up.
